First hardcover and first softcover edition. Illustrated throughout with numerous scenes in black-and-white and gray. A collection of picture-poems by Kenneth Patchen, an American poet and novelist likened to William Black and Walt Whitman for his experimentation with different forms of writing and incorporation of painting, drawing, and jazz music into his works. The hardcover is bound in the original full yellow cloth binding. The softcover is bound in the original paper wraps. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Fine.
