first edition, second printing. Octavo (192 x 150 mm) 35 plates of B&W photographs, rough linen cover, two mounted photographs. Seminal work by Itagaki, the main proponent of Modernism in Japan, featuring photographs of cars, skyscrapers, airplanes, etc. of the period. Includes original slipcase, in good condition; book itself has some wear, as pictured; some yellowing on blank inner covers, otherwise good condition with no former owner's names, or other major damage. The first edition, second printing, in contrast to the first printing, includes a dust cover (!!) as pictured. This is the first time I have ever handled (or seen) the dust cover for this book.
