Original DJ with $3.95 price intact and no mention of the Pulitzer Prize anywhere. Binding and hinges are sound. Brown paper-covered boards quarterbound in green cloth binding. Book is identical to the first printing, just substituting one word, eighth for first on the copyright page. Brown boards are clean. Green cloth binding is clean with a touch of sunning at edges. Endpapers are bright and clean. Original DJ has the McGinley quote in green on the inside flap. Rear DJ panel begins with The whole country is singing the praises of To Kill A Mockingbird. No photo of Harper Lee on the DJ and no mention of Pulitzer. DJ shows open chips at crown and heel of spine. Rubbing along DJ edges and folds. No BCE/BOMC blindstamp on rear cover. Considering the first printing of this title was only 5,000 copies, these early printings remain highly collectible. First edition, 8th printing in original 8th printing DJ with no Pulitzer mention.
