An excellent copy, with a very bright, unclipped dust wrapper, designed by Broom-Lyne. Written by English novelist Anthony Powell, who was best known for his series entitled 'A Dance to the Music of Time', consisting of twelve novels, of which 'The Kindly Ones' is the sixth. 'A Dance to the Music of Time' depicts a comic examination of movements and manners, power and passivity in English political, cultural, and military life in the twentieth century. This particular volume predominantly deals with the period just before and after Britain enters World War II. The personal copy of English author and artist, Brian Aldiss, with a note loosely inserted signed by Wendy Aldiss, executor to the Aldiss estate. Bound in the publisher's cloth with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with light shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine.
