Full brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine & front board, black illustration to front board, publisher's logo on rear board, 8" x 6", black & white plates and in-text illustrations and decorations, 248 pp. Slight soiling to boards, rear internal hinge possibly re-glued (endpapers are split but quite solid), bookseller's label to rear endpaper. Generally a nice copy of an early Rackham title. Identified merely as "a later issue" in Latimore-Haskell, p. 25. (First issue should have gilt on the cover illustration, this one is entirely in black.).
