A smart first edition copy of this history of smuggling between 1700 and 1855, with illustrations throughout. First edition. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, seven black-and-white plates, and many in-text images. Collated complete. A fascinating historical study of the development of smuggling in the period 1700 to 1855, with accounts of various gangs and events.
