Light toning and foxing to contents. Housed in a modern custom slipcase. Karel Capek (1890-1938) was a Czech writer best known for his play R.U.R. (1920), which first introduced the world to the word robot. First published in Capek's native Czech, this novel explores man's abuse of power through scientific invention.
