First Edition, with period after "Etc" on the title page and "All Rights Reserved" not on the copyright page, plain slate-colored endpapers. [BAL 9584]. With the personal bookplate of well-known financier Frank A. Vanderlip on the front endpaper & with the personal bookplate of Frank Maier on the front pastedown. There is also a pencil signature on a front blank page" "C.D. Warner." I have checked it against American author Charles Dudley Warner's signature but I have never seen him sign using just his first two initials and then last name- so sold as is, the signature has not been authenticated. Very Good (some wear cloth, especially tips of spine, spine slightly cocked; gilt pretty bright; contents clean & tight). $75.00. Seller Inventory # 5687
