122 pp. sm.institutional stamps top fr.pastedown & half-title, sm.gilt prev.owner's label top pastedown, sm.'stock no.2209' inscrip.top half title, top quarter fr.free endpaper excised, otherwise internally extremely good, clean, tight but faint browning to endpapers. Dark blue cloth Covers generally clean (two sm.splash marks to back) and unworn bar hint of sp.end rubbing. Fairly scarce. Thouless's first book following publication of his Ph.D. thesis as 'Introduction to the Psychology of Religion'. He went on to be a prominent figure in British psychology.
