Lyton Seluls, Durham, February 1943, and notes in English. ***Very good in blue cloth-covered boards with silver titles to spine. spine slightly faded. Edges of boards slightly rubbed. Contemporaneous owner's name in black fountain pen ink to top of front free endpaper: ' Joyce A. Boult Jan. 1946'. Pages clean. Spine tight. ***In avery good buff-coloured and black printed dustwrapper which has not been price-clipped, showing the original publisher's price of 5s. net. Edges of dustwrapper slightly rubbed. Very small loss and rubbing to corners of dustwrapper. Small closed tear to bottom rear corner of rear panel of dustwrapper. Very small loss to head and tail of spine f dustwrapper. Spine of dustwrapper slightly faded. Rear and front panels clean and bright. ***xiv including introduction in English plus one-page bibliography in English plus 128 pages, with the play in the French language, including notes in English to the rear including bibliography and index. 190mm x 122 mm. ***First impression of the true first edition thus, in its original fragile wartime dustwrapper. For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging materials; any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only; for the UK, our standard rate is for first class, and the priority rate includes tracked (signed for) delivery; for International sales, our standard rate is for Airmail delivery, and the priority rate is for tracked (International signed for) delivery.
