- Octavo, contemporary tan calf with gilt-lettered leather labels on the spine. The leather is a bit scuffed. The spine & extremities are darkened & the joints are rubbed. The leather of the spine is dried out & cracking & there are remnants of a paper label near the tail. [iv], xxix & pages [30]-374; and xv & pages [16]-297. There is an owner's ink name & date on the front endpaper. There is occasional foxing & staining, especially to the prelims & rear blanks, with a very few markings & notations in the text. Very good. The first American edition of each work.This is the "July, August, and September, 1846" volume of "The Law Library" series, No. 55.
