About this Item
The 1916 1st edition in book form --in its native Italian-- of this manifesto by Italian Futurist painter, composer and builder of experimental musical instruments Luigi Russolo (1885-1947). Solid and VG+ in its printed wrappers, with light spotting at the pastedowns and the front free endpaper. Presumed publisher's glassine dustjacket, which is crisp and clean, accompanying this copy as well. Thin octavo, wonderful full-page photo ("Nei Laboratorio degli Intonarumori a Milano" -- "In the Laboratory of Intonarumori in Milan") complementing Russolo's text, which is viewed as a pioneering work in Futurist music and noise theory.
