The Works of Washington Irving. Complete in 22 volumes. Printed in 1860 - 1863. This set is likely the first collected edition, as George Washington wasn't printed until 1860. This set is 1860-1863. Complete in 22 volumes. All volumes present. George Washington complete in five volumes, ends as volume 21, with Salmugundi published at the end as volume 22, which is standard for Washington Irving. All his works are present. This set is complete. These are the original bindings. This set is in remarkable condition despite the age. These are the original Victorian bindings from 1863. Marbled covers, text block edges, and end papers. Printed on quality paper. All books have a little foxing here and there, but considering the age there is not much. Vol 1 Knickerbocker's New York: Some wear to the top of the spine, and a little more wear than the other volumes. No Names or writing. Vol 2 The Sketch Book. No names or writing or serious flaws. Vols 3,4 & 5 Columbus: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 6 Bracebride Ball: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 7 Tales of a Traveler: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 8 Astoria: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 9 Crayon Miscellany: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 10 Bonneville's Adventures No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 11 Oliver Goldsmith: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vols 12 & 13 Mahomet. No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 15 The Alhambra: No names or writing. 4 pages at the begining are half separated from the binding. Vol 16 Wolfert's Roost: No names or writing or serious flaws. Vol 17, 18, 19, 20 & 21 Life of Washington Volume 18 has two pages of illustrations where one has partially offset itself on the other, otherwise very nice with no names or writing or serious flaws.
