Bound in 3/4 leather with marble boards. Marble endpapers. Gilt lettering to spines. Five raised bands. Steel engraved frontispiece, tissue guard and vignette on title page in each volume. The title to Vol. I states In fourteen volumes while the last three volumes were published the next year making this the complete 17 volume set. Vols I-XII are dated 1832, XIII-XVII are dated 1833. As is standard for the first collected edition. Each volume measures 6.75" x 4.25" and includes a half title page, frontispiece, and extra engraved title page. All volumes internally very clean. Exteriors show some scuffing to leather on spines and fore edges. Front joint just starting to crack at the extremities (but board still well attached) on volume one, old minor repair to head of spine on Volume 10, bindings otherwise very sound. Includes Hours of Idleness, Childe Harold`s Pilgrimage. Hints from Horace, The Curse of Minerva, The Waltz, The Giaour, The Bride of Abydos, The Corsair, Ode to Napoleon Buonaparte, Lara, Hebrew Melodies, The Siege of Corinth, Parisina, Manfred, The Lament of Tasso, Marino Faliero Doge of Venice, Don Juan, and many other works.
