No notable soiling. A previous owner name and date in ink to front paste down of vol I with book plate of same to free front end paper. Vol II free of such. Bindings sound with no cracks to end papers and no annotations. A few "Burns" related press cuttings/notes concerning lots for Sotheby's auctions 1976 and 1969 loosely laid in).
