8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall; 425 pp; First edition, likely 2nd state with 74 pages in the Appendix. 2 Volumes. Bound in 1/2 leather with marbled endpapers, appears to be exlibrary with slight evidence of removed spine label and check out slip in rear, no other signs, bright gilt on spines, leather on front cover of V2 is scratched, binding tight, leather is worn in the corners, no page markings. Folding illustrations of tissue and neatly folded and untorn. A nice, clean, tight and attractive set.
