First impression of the true first edition - published in medium-format hardcover in 2015. ***Very good in black cloth-covered boards. with white titles to the flat spine and front board. The boards are beautifully clean and unmarked. No creases or bumps. Corners sharp. Page block edges clean. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Internally also very good, with the following library marks: Lincolnshire County Council lending sheet and barcode on front free endpaper. Sticker on the rear pastedown. Rubbing to surface of front pastedown where a label has been removed. No other obvious library marks. Although the lending sheet is dated 10 Dec 2015 (around the time of publication) the book doesn't appear to have been lent out! No foxing to the interior pages. Pages clean and bright. No creases or tears. Published on high-quality photographic paper. ***In a near fine monochrome illustrated dustwrapper, which has a £28.00 price barcode on the back panel. The dustwrapper shows no discernible faults, with no creases or tears and no fading - just a hint of creasing at the top of the spine. About the Author

Juliet Hacking is the program director of the MA in Photography (Contemporary and Historical) at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, and was previously Head of the Photographs Department at Sotheby’s, London. She was the general editor of Photography: The Whole Story.
