Original Freemason record book from Dijon's Loge de la Concorde, covering the period from March 1881 to March 1883. The majority of the record book's text consists of detailed minutes of the lodge meetings, written in a variety of secretarial hands, which are generally neat and thoroughly legible. Also included are records of correspondence sent and received, receipts for fees due and paid, and vote tallies, as well as the names and addresses of what may be lodge members and visitors, with a number of those being from American cities. 12.75'' x 9''. Lined journal in decorative stamped leather boards, with handwritten paper label affixed to front. [i-xv], 229 pages. Moderate chipping to boards with some loss at corners and spine. Moderate foxing and toning to preliminary leaves, mild soil and toning throughout. Text in French, written in several contemporary hands.
