FIRST EDITION. 4to. (12)13-248p. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Illustrated from black and white photos by the author. 24 full-page captioned plates. Endpapers are maps. Blue cloth with black letters on the front cover and the spine and with vignettes in black of a camel on the front cover and the spine. Wear to extremities with a couple of corners just worn through, top of spine just starting to fray, slight fading around the edges of the covers, previous owner's rubber stamp on front pastedown, else very good to near fine with all plates present and in fine condition, with tissue guard intact and with no internal markings. Jacket spine and edges darkened, front panel of jacket separated, some small chips around the dges, but most all there. A narrative of the author's travel in Peru.
