Harry Lowery was a Physicist whose main interest was Applied Optics and Technical Acoustics on which he published over 60 papers. His research and designs found many theoretical and practical applications, one significant example being a road danger lamp of which thousands were produced and installed around the country. The diary itself is unused and is a very nicely put together book with lots of information on London and its attractions, along with street maps and a page to a day diary with photographs and cartoons. The book is 8.5 inches tall, a quarter imitation leather binding, page edges brightly gilded all round. Fixed into the back is an unused Address and 1965 Engagements book Some marking to back cover else in very good condition.
