1882 - 1883, 1st. Government Printing Hardcover with marbled boards and red leather original spine and corners with gilt letters to the spine, paste down and end pages are also marbled, 363 page book. Part 1 & part 2 of the inquiry in to the lose of the Steamer Jennette in 1881. With all images, maps and foldouts complete ( most foldout & maps have been repaired from rips with clear Archival PH neutral tape). This extremely rare copy is not found on the market often. This original copy is a true research guide to the unfortunate event in the search for the North West Passage by the Steamer Jennette in 1881. Condition : Very Good with edge ware to the corners and spine, first end page is starting to split at the hinge.Exowner gift inscription on the first blank page dated 1884. As note most of the fold out maps have been repaired from rips. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
