1949 first edition, 5th impression, with dust wrapper. Red boards, slightly faded at front and creased at rear with gilt lettering on the spine. Head and tail of spine and board edges lightly bumped and rubbed. Binding is neat and tidy. Pages are very lightly thumbed. Gently handled, this book is in good condition. Dust wrapper has creasing at the edges, with small tears and chips. Price clipped. Head and tail of spine showing general wear and tear, with some small sections at top and bottom missing (see image). This dust wrapper is in fair condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound.
