Thorsten Teutenberg, PhD, is the head of the Research Analytics & Miniaturization Department at the Institut für Umwelt & Energie, Technik & Analytik e. V. (IUTA). His scientific work focuses on the development of novel detection and coupling systems based on liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and vibrational spectroscopy. He is also involved in the establishment of a fully digitalized laboratory of the future (FutureLab NRW).

Dr. Thorsten Teutenberg hat Chemie an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum studiert und dort zum Thema ?Hochtemperatur-HPLC? am Lehrstuhl für Analytische Chemie promoviert. In 2004 wechselte er an das Institut für Energie- und Umwelttechnik e. V. in Duisburg als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter. Seit 2012 leitet er die Abteilung Forschungsanalytik & Miniaturisierung. Schwerpunkte seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten sind die Entwicklung neuartiger Detektions- und Kopplungssysteme auf Basis der Füssigkeitschromatografie, Massenspektrometrie und Schwingungsspektroskopie. Aktuell ist er am Aufbau eines voll digitalisierten Labors der Zukunft (FutureLab NRW) beteiligt.
