See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1871 publication and not a modern reprint. Exterior is in rough shape, mainly along the spine, which has large chips and holes present. Edges and corners also show wear. Despite the poor condition of the exterior cloth, the interior is in much better shape. No hinge cracks at boards and text pages are tight, with the exception of the frontispiece area as there is some pulling present here. Tissue guard is still present and attached. Pages are mildly toned due to age but show only minimal spotting and foxing. The front pastedown has a small name label in the upper corner in the opposite end page shows where a price was once penciled in the upper corner and then later erased. No other markings noted. Exterior is in poor condition but interior is graded as VG. Overall book condition graded as fair.
