Oversized red cloth with gilt lettering. Minor edgewear, light rub to head and heel of spine and tips of corners with a thin line of sun to head and heel of spine. Previous owner notation to front endpaper from the University of Liverpool. Text is otherwise clean and bright, no marks. Illustrated throughout with charts, diagrams and maps. Unclipped DJ with 35s. price shows heavy wear, rubbing to all edges, loss to heel of spine and upper corners, spine darkened, moderate general soiling, but intact and still doing its job. "The editors and authors of this book believe that the causes of the major failings in the working of town planning are political, and affect the whole country. Their remedy would require, first of all, an appraisal of the big so9cial and technological changes and migrations since the war, in the light of their influence on the location and form of all building developments; and then a recasting of central policies to form a clear and workable framework for local plans."
