Octavo, illustrated wraps, 95 pp. Good plus; a notable chip, top front center (see scan), some creasing and small tears, some soil. Firmly bound for such an inexpensively produced pulp mystery, and of course complete. The first of a planned series of "$1,000 Prize Mystery Novels" by Magna Publications. More importantly, the sixth novel by Chicago reporter Vincent Starrett, the precursor to the later hardcover 'Murder in Peking' (1946), and.well, check the scan of the first page descriptive blurb.
