First Edition. VI, 160 pages. 7 1/4 x 10 3/8 inches. Publisher's blue cloth gilt. With several stamps of Universal Scientific Company, Inc. (Vincennes, Indiana) and a sticker on the title page noting that the apparatus listed and illustrated in this book is protected by US Patents by the company. Several similar stickers in the body of the text. Illustrated with 93 figures, many of apparatus. Cloth. A great example of the practical sales approach of many scientific apparatus manufacturers. Create a book which shows how apparatus can be used to demonstrate various principles, and that sells the apparatus. In our experience the stickers warning about violating patents is a bit over the top, but perhaps it was an issue for this company. Seller Inventory # 26967
