Dust jacket has significant surface wear, edge wear, chips on corners, tears head/tail of spine, soiling on rear, price clipped, old tape repairs on rear of dj - quite well done - G+ or VG-. Black cloth boards are a little dusty on the edges, lightly rubbed corners, spine text worn, sunned and worn head/tail. Interior is clean, first edition (G-N) July 1963 printing. Photographer/director/author Gordon Parks' semi-autobiographical novel gives us a deeply personal look at life in the Jim Crow era.
