Embellished with 25 humorous characteristic prints from drawings by Thomas Rowlandson after drawings by G.M. Woodward. Large folding color frontispiece. xii, 96, [2] pages. Slim 32mo, handsomely rebound by Brentano's in 3/4 brown polished calf; gilt-stamped spine with red leather label (only minor rubbing at spine ends). London: Printed for Vernor, Hood and Sharpe, et al, by W. Wilson, 1808. First edition with these illustrations. Scattered toning and off-setting from the plates; color frontispiece is present but heavily repaired at the folds; title page is darkened and with chipping at margins -- still a very good copy of this uncommon title in a near fine binding.
