Cambridge, UK: Macmillan and Co., 1854. First Edition. Ex-library with usual institutional markings. Octavo. 401 pages with two pages advertisements, the rest presumably removed by binder. Rebound in modern black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Ownership signature of "A.S. Duncan Jones" to half title. We have not been able to independently verify this, but presumably the signature of Anglican priest and author Arthur Stuart Duncan-Jones. Additional ownership signature of "James W. Cox (?) Jr." to half title. Boards show some light scuffing around edges. A single white speck to spine. Binding is sound. Half title shows remnants of tape repair. Marginalia and underlining in pen found intermittently throughout the text, though whether these are in Duncan-Jones' hand we are unsure.
