66 pages inc short index and folding railway route plan on this tracing type paper at rear. with photographs by J. W. Walker (formally) of Oakamoor, North Staffs. "Manifold" was the name used by J. R. Hollick, C. A. Moreton, G. N. Nowell-Gossling, F. M. Page & W. T. Stubbs. Cream soft card covers with yapp edges and lettering in purple or mauve, minor dustiness and light handling. Slim octavo. Very Scarce work on this short lived railway that worked between 1904-1934. A 2ft 6 inch gauge It was a financial disaster for a group of local business men who put blood, body and soul into it. It ran between Hulme End and Waterhouses across the Manifold Valley and was loved by 100's of Railway enthusiasts every year as it was a devil to get to. Much like the beloved "Titfield Thunderbolt" film but with all too real financial problems all its existence. RARE. Seller Inventory # 4194
