Illustrations by Leslie Crump. Small 8vo. Blind-embossed brown cloth with white lettering. 312pp. Frontispiece, 3 full-page plates (as called for). Near fine. Endpapers faintly age toned. A wonderfully tight, bright and handsome first edition of the seventh title in the "Football Eleven" boy's series. The blind-embossing depicting alternating footballs and cheerleader's megaphones is superb, the white spine and front board lettering without the chipping so often found on these. An exceptional copy.
