This VG book is a first format (8-1/8" tall, decorated eps) and likely a first print--the jacket lists only the 5 books of this series that were published in 1914. This book is square, quite clean, with very minor bumps on the lower corners and at the head and heel of the spine, all without fabric damage; lower edge of rear board has a small ding. Both the front panel and spine lettering and illustrations are intact (see photos). The interior is in similar condition: strong hinges, no writings, markings, page damage or stains; very flexible paper that is very slightly toned; frontis + 3 is intact. There is a library-type glued on the page before the RFEP, and on the facing page a little residue from what I presume was a sign out slip; however, there are no markings of any sort to indicate that this was ever a library book and that it was ever not a part of a private individual's personal library. The jacket has relatively small chips at the corners and at head and heel of the spine, plus a 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" chunk out of the middle of the spine (see photo). Seller Inventory # BMER-2019-12-23-1
