Good hardcover with light bumping/rubbing to the extremities and edges in a Good dust jacket with light tanning and small chips all along the spine, a moderately large chip to the front at the heel, tiny chips to the extremities, and wear along the edges; previous owner's name in ink from 1945 on inside front leaf, otherwise the interior is clean and bright, NOT price-clipped. One of four of Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories published by Garden City in 1942, all illustrated by the great Feodor Rojankovsky. The other three were: The Elephant's Child; How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin; and How the Camel Got His Hump. Unpaginated [28 pages]; full-color, 2-color, and b&w illustrations throughout; 6-7/8 x 9-3/8 inches.
