First US edition hard back binding in publisher's original lavender cloth covers with recurring gilt woodcut decoration, cream paper onlay with black and red title and author lettering to the spine, old rose dyed upper edges. 8vo. 9'' x 6''. Contains 402 printed pages of text. Spine ends a little creased with tiny rubs, shallow rubs to the corners. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition illustrated and decorated dust wrapper with rubs to the spine ends, shallow rubs to the fore edges and gutters, not price clipped $5.00.
