Classic early 20th century work on stage magic and illusion, written by famed magician David Devant. Includes illustrated instruction on card tricks, sleight of hand, and performance techniques.
Notably inscribed and signed on the front endpaper: ?From your friend Silent DeMello Dec. 27, 1926,? referencing a Vaudeville-era performer, adding unique historical and collectible appeal.
A desirable title for collectors of magic, conjuring, and Vaudeville memorabilia.
Condition:
Tight binding. 1922 First Edition published by George Routledge & Sons, Ltd. and E.P. Dutton & Co. Pages are clean with no markings noted aside from signed inscription on front endpaper. Moderate toning consistent with age. Cloth boards show visible wear, rubbing, and soiling. Spine covering is heavily worn with fraying and partial separation along the front hinge, though binding remains intact. Corners bumped and worn. Overall a worn but complete and collectible copy.
