Former paperback that has been bound into hard covers with cloth spine and corners, and marbled-paper-covered boards; original wraps have been bound into book. Book contains 134 pages of text, 23 plates, and 14 fold-out, geological sections, but no maps. Exterior of book is Fine; text block (including maps and fold-outs) is Good-minus with chipping and tears to wraps and blank fly leaves, "1750" inked in small numbers on front wrap, former owner's seal pressed into title page, ragged edges to many leaves in rough-cut text block, chipped top-corner tip on two leaves, small edge tears in several leaves and fold-outs, and minor foxing scattered throughout; many pages are unopened. Plates and fold-out sections are clean and bright.
