Square octavo, 3 volumes in 1. Second printing (?) of the first collected edition, which supposedly first appeared (per BAL) in 1884, though OCLC records no holdings of that edition. A very good copy in the publisher's decorative brown cloth. Spine cocked, some discoloration to the rear board, and a few signatures just a bit sprung. Nice bookplate to the front paste-down, contemporary gift inscription to a front blank, and some pencil markings to the front free endpaper, else a nice, sound copy of this uncharacteristically light-hearted series of stories by the great crusader for Native American rights, Helen Hunt Jackson. All three of these stories were first published separately in the previous decade, but this represents the first collected edition of these cat stories. BAL 10493. Uncommon. Seller Inventory # 12304
