8vo. Pp. xxiv, (1), 26-215, (5), 6-216. Frontis. folding facsimile of writing samples. Bound in brown blindstamped cloth, gilt lettering stamped on spine. Foxing to preliminaries and affecting the three fold-outs. With two faint dampstains, size of a quarter and nickel, affecting only margins of textblocks (please see photo). Wear to edges of binding commensurate with age. Who was Junius? Speculation leads to Sir Philip Francis, the chief candidate; William Petty-Fitzmaurice, second 2nd Earl of Shelburne later first 1st Marquess of Lansdowne Laughlin Macleane Shelburne s undersecretary.
