Printed at the Women's Printing Society, London with a speculative publication date of 1917. The Hon Robert Palmer was the second son of William Waldegrave Palmer, 2nd Earl of Selborne. He was a Captain in the Hampshire Regiment killed on active service on January 21st 1916 (not June as recorded in the title) and Selborne wished these letters to be a remembrance for his friends and family. ( See image of note of presentation pasted to front pastedown.) Some wear to the original blue cloth and spine label and small tear to rear endpaper, otherwise a firm copy.
