2 vols., 8vo., First Edition thus, with engraved portrait frontispieces (tissue guards present) and 9 engraved plates, some light offsetting from frontispieces to titles, neat contemporary inscription on front free endpaper of first volume; contemporary full calf, backs with five flat bands, second and fourth compartments with black leather labels lettered and numbered in gilt, all other compartments tooled in blind, expertly rebacked with old backstrips laid down, a remarkably bright, clean, crisp copy. Nineteenth century armorial bookplate on front paste-down of second volume. An elegant copy, complete with binder's leaf and index of addressees. VERY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION.
