About this Item
[very slight bumping to top corners, otherwise as-new; the jacket is flawless]. (color photographs) A gorgeous photographic survey of 104 American libraries. Nearly all the photographs in the book are panoramic, covering double-page spreads -- with a couple going even larger, with triple-page fold-outs (of the Morgan Library and Museum in New York and the Indianapolis Public Central Library), and one truly spectacular FOUR-pager, of the Library of Congress. A huge and beautiful book, suitable for dropping on the foot of any of the small-minded folks among us who want to censor and constrict the functioning of these civic treasures. A pox on all book-banners! ****NOTE that additional postage charges will be assessed for international shipping of this large and heavy book; if this concerns you, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.****.
