Covers bumped and shelf worn, with leather worn along edges. Endpapers a bit soiled with bookplate of a Charles J. Knowles to first pastedown. Text is good with some staining and offsetting, with some corner creases. Well illustrated with woodcuts and steel plates, including 2 fold-out sections.
