Item description from seller

First edition, first printing. (Stated "First edition" on copyright page, preceding copies with number lines instead.) 142 pp. Bound in publisher's red orange cloth affect with spine lettered in black. Light rubbing to extremities, else Fine in a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with fading to spine, chipping to top edge of front panel. The uncommon first appearance of a classic how-to statistic text focusing on their misuse rather than their correct usage. With over one and a half million copies in print, the book remains useful, relevant, and enjoyable to this day.
