Octavo Size [approx 13x18cm]. Good+ Condition. This copy has been rebound [in black cloth with gilt to spine, new endpapers] but is missing the preliminary pages, frontispiece and title page. This makes the edition details uncertain by examining references in Ferguson 16650 it seems this is likely a first edition as it has the decorative chapter headings. Page edges are speckled and so suspect that the text block has been trimmed when book rebound. Previous owners neat stamp and signature to front free endpaper. Now a very clean and tight copy. 411 pages. Contents include chapters on methodism in New South Wales, Victoria, and Adelaide - with Appendices at rear - including one one the Aborigines of Victoria.
