Linguistic Decision Making: Numerical Scale Model and Consistency-Driven Methodology

Hardcover, viii + 209 pages, NOT ex-library. A short corner crease to a portion of leaves. Book is clean and bright with unmarked text, free of inscriptions and stamps, firmly bound. Gentle external handling wear. Issued without a dust jacket. -- "The first book to use the numerical scale model and consistency-driven methodology to support linguistic decision making. Provides a comprehensive and accessible guide to different linguistic computational models. Enables researchers to understand the connection between various linguistic computational models. Provides researchers with a new way to deal with the fact that words mean different things for different people or in different contexts. -- This book proposes a novel CWW model to personalize individual semantics in linguistic decision making, based on two new concepts: numerical scale and consistency-driven methodology. The numerical scale model provides a unified framework to connect different linguistic symbolic computational models for CWW, and the consistency-driven methodology customizes individuals’ semantics to support linguistic group decision making by setting personalized numerical scales. The book is a valuable resource for researchers and postgraduates who are interested in CWW in linguistic decision making.".…
