Slight offset tanning on first and last leaves (from the fur), rabbit fur slightly rubbed at tips of two corners, else a very good copy in original publisher's lidded, pictorial box. The box (measuring circa 3 3/4 by 5 1/4 inches), with die-cut hole on top lid [as issued, to allowing the fur to show through] is moderately tanned and soiled, short bumped tear at one corner (archivally mended), else very good [28]pages. Original wraps. Condition: Near fine. The first edition of Little Fur Family by Margaret Wise Brown, bound in rabbit fur, with illustrations by Garth Williams. (illustrator). First Edition. Book measures 2.5" x 4". Hardcover wrapped in genuine rabbit fur. Solid text block, faint transference opposite endpapers, thin crease to leaves from previous bend. A near fine example with almost all fur intact. Protective cardboard box measures 3.5" x 5". Light wear to corners, a bright and sturdy example. Margaret Wise Brown (1910-1952) wrote numerous children's books, including titles like Goodnight Moon, The Runaway Bunny, and The Color Kittens. Little Fur Family features illustrations by Garth Williams, a children's literature artist best remembered for his work on Stuart Little and Charlotte's Web. Seller Inventory # 15275
