This appears to be the First Edition of this publication, both the copyright page and the title page are dated 1904 and there is an additional statement of Published May, 1904. This volume 250 numbered pages and an additional 12 pages of advertisements. The top edge appears to have been dyed blue at one point, but the dye has faded. It also appears that at one point there was a liquid that hit the top of the volume leaving a mark there, as well as, a water lines on the interior of the book starting about page 120. Unfortunately, there is also about a 1 1/2 inch tear to the paper at the joint of the gutter and rear past down. There are 27 figures in the book in addition to some black-and-white full page images. The lettering on the spine is faded and it is difficult to read both the title and the author's name. A previous owner's name is on the front free end paper in English.
