This 4.375 x 5.625 inch, 62 page hardcover book is the apparent first printing of this title by the Henry Altemus Company in 1924. This book is in very good condition - with the hardcover featuring partial illustrated paper with red spine cloth spine strip and with a 2.5 x 3.5 image appropriately pasted onto the front panel. The paper over boards does show wear at the corners - with especially the top fore-edge corner - with a quarter-inch loose piece of the wrapper which is still intact. Beyond that the coves show rubbing and time wear but are in very good condition. The interior shows a previous owner s first name on the endpaper decoration for writing ones name. Beyond that the text pages are complete with the binding still a touch loose but secure and the color illustrations on every page still bright and in very good condition or better.
