THESE 161 pages are part poetry, part Dale Carnegie, part Aesop's Fables, and part Farmer's Almanac quip. There are approx. 138 short little story fables - each with a life lesson. Some pieces are titled : The Untameable, Because, Aspiration, Fear, and Geese. This latter deals with impolite geese hissing at a king, being upbraided for it, and replying ` we hiss at everybody'. Good material for speech makers -e.g. the death of a good woman and a bad woman, and what was found on the bosom of each. Cond : Boards are brown, cover and spine each have a paste-down graphic involving bees. One minor bump. Some minor wear at points . Colours bright, binding tight, spine fine. Minor soiling. P/O gift inscription on ffep - Christmas 1910. No creases, marks, folds, tears, nor stains. VERY collectible !!
